Stratus IT Group and Gravity Networks announce their merger, effective May 1, 2019. The new entity will be known as Gravity Networks LLC.
Both locations continue to serve their clients and all employees remain with the combined company. The corporate offices are in Gravity Networks’ home of Knoxville, while Stratus IT’s operations continue in the Salt Lake City location. Clients in Salt Lake will now have access to Gravity’s existing services that were not offered by Stratus, for example VoIP, Physical Security and Surveillance, and additional niche product offerings.
Mike Coffey, founder of Gravity Networks, assumes CEO responsibilities while Craig Vickers, from Stratus IT, is onboard as President. Coffey and Vickers have worked together for years as separate business owners helping each other build their respective world-class IT services organizations. In 2019, they began to explore combining the two companies with the goals of being able to offer increased levels of customer support and gaining greater leverage with partners. As an example of the latter, by merging they now achieve Datto’s highest partner level, Datto Blue.
I am very excited with the merging of our two companies. For all of our existing clients, we are now able to elevate our already Best-of-Class IT Service offerings. Looking forward, we are excited to begin extending our services throughout the United States, to any company that is in need of the highest quality Managed Services Partner.
I would like to take this opportunity to say that Craig Vickers brings a level of leadership that extends not only to our Salt Lake and Knoxville branches, but to everything to come under the Gravity name.
